1-on-1 Interview with Fred Hoiberg
Fred Hoiberg has been the head coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers men's basketball team since 2019.
Prior to that, he was the head coach of the Chicago Bulls from 2015 to 2018.
Hoiberg played college basketball at Iowa State University, where he was a two-time All-American.
He was selected by the Indiana Pacers with the 52nd overall pick in the 1995 NBA draft.
Hoiberg played 10 seasons in the NBA, averaging 8.2 points and 2.8 assists per game.
After retiring from playing, Hoiberg joined ESPN as an analyst.
In 2013, he was named the head coach of the Iowa State Cyclones.
Hoiberg led the Cyclones to two NCAA Tournament appearances in three seasons.
In 2015, he was hired by the Chicago Bulls.
Hoiberg was fired by the Bulls in 2018 after three seasons.
In 2019, he was hired by the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Hoiberg is entering his fourth season as the head coach of the Cornhuskers.
The Cornhuskers are coming off a 10-22 season in 2021-22.
Hoiberg is hoping to lead the Cornhuskers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2014.
