McCamish Pavilion to Celebrate Yellow Jackets’ 50th Season Anniversary
ATLANTA - The Georgia Tech women's basketball team will officially tip off its season on Sunday when they host the Georgia Bulldogs for their first game of the 2022-2023 campaign. The historic matchup will also mark the Yellow Jackets' 50th anniversary season, which will be celebrated at McCamish Pavilion all season long.
Georgia Tech enters the new season with high hopes, having finished 21-11 last year in Nell Fortner's first season as head coach. The Yellow Jackets return several key players from last year, including leading scorer Lorela Cubaj and All-ACC guard Lotta-Maj Lahtinen.
The Bulldogs, meanwhile, are coming off a 20-13 season and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Georgia is led by reigning SEC Player of the Year Que Morrison, who averaged 16.9 points and 7.6 rebounds per game last season.
The matchup between the Yellow Jackets and the Bulldogs is sure to be a competitive one as both teams look to start their seasons on a positive note. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. ET.

Fan Appreciation Night Planned for Sunday's Season Opener at McCamish Pavilion
The Georgia Tech women's basketball team will host Fan Appreciation Night on Sunday, Nov. 13 as part of the team's season opener against Georgia.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet the team and get autographs following the game. There will also be face painting, balloon animals, and other fun activities for kids.
The Fan Appreciation Night festivities will begin at 1 p.m. ET at McCamish Pavilion.
