ATP Shanghai: Medvedev Blasts Past Rublev to Reach Final

Medvedev Charges to ATP Shanghai Final

Daniil Medvedev continued his impressive form in Shanghai by dismantling Andrey Rublev in straight sets 6-2, 7-6(4) on Saturday to reach the final of the ATP Shanghai Masters.

The Russian, who won the St. Petersburg Open last week, was in complete control throughout the match, breaking Rublev's serve three times and saving all four break points he faced.

Medvedev's Dominance

Medvedev was particularly dominant on serve, winning 80% of his first-serve points and 60% of his second-serve points.

He also hit 25 winners to Rublev's 14 and committed just 14 unforced errors.

Rublev, who was bidding to reach his first Masters 1000 final, was unable to match Medvedev's level of play and made too many unforced errors (26).

Medvedev will now face Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final on Sunday.
