Former ‘GH’ Co-Stars Pay Tribute to Monaco Following News of Monaco’s Exit

‘Days of Our Lives’ cast members are sharing their thoughts and well wishes to Kelly Monaco, whose departure from ‘General Hospital’ was recently announced.

Monaco, who has played Sam McCall on ‘GH’ since 2003, shared her decision to leave the show via Instagram post on Friday. Following her announcement, a chorus of praise and well wishes from the cast of ‘Days of Our Lives’ since her popular daytime drama began aired.

‘A Special Talent’

"Kelly is a wildly talented actress," said Greg Vaughan, who plays Eric Brady on ‘Days of Our Lives’. "She's brought so much to the role of Sam over the years. She's going to be missed."

"Kelly is a dear friend and an amazing actress," added Kristian Alfonso, who plays Hope Brady on ‘Days of Our Lives’. "I can't imagine ‘GH’ without her. It just won't be the same."

‘A True Professional’

"Kelly is a true professional," said Deidre Hall, who plays Marlena Evans on ‘Days of Our Lives’. "She's always prepared, and she always gives her all. She's a pleasure to work with."

‘She Will Be Missed’

Monaco's last airdate on ‘GH’ is set for August 12. While she will be missed by her co-stars on ‘GH’, they are all excited to see what the future holds for her.
