New York City Public Schools Closed Due to Flooding

- F train: Suspended between Jamaica-179th Street and Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue
- L train: Suspended between Eighth Avenue and Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway
- M train: Suspended between Metropolitan Avenue and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues
- R train: Suspended between 95th Street and Whitehall Street

Other Flood-Related Closings
In addition to schools and the subway system, several other institutions and businesses in New York City have been closed due to the flooding:
- Libraries: All public libraries in New York City are closed.
- Museums: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the American Museum of Natural History are all closed.
- Theaters: All Broadway theaters are closed.
- Sporting events: All sporting events scheduled for Thursday, September 8th have been postponed.
