He is one of 26 semifinalists for the Hall of Fame class, which will be announced in February.

Holmgren's Packers teams were known for their high-powered offense, led by quarterback Brett Favre.

He also coached the Seahawks to a Super Bowl appearance in 2005.

Holmgren retired from coaching after the 2008 season and has since worked as an analyst for ESPN.

He is widely considered to be one of the greatest coaches in NFL history.

The Hall of Fame selection committee will meet in January to select the finalists for the Class of 2023.

The finalists will be announced in February and the Hall of Fame class will be inducted in August.
