Brentford stun ten-man Fulham with last-gasp winner from Yoane Wissa
Fulham had taken the lead through Bobby Decordova-Reid but were reduced to 10 men as Joao Palhinha was sent off for a second yellow card just after half-time. Brentford took advantage of the extra man and equalised through Bryan Mbeumo shortly after. With the game seemingly heading for a draw, Yoane Wissa popped up with a winner for the Bees two minutes into stoppage time.
Fulham had started the game brightly and took the lead after just nine minutes. Bobby Decordova-Reid latching onto a loose ball in the Brentford area and firing past David Raya.
Brentford responded well to going behind, with Bryan Mbeumo causing the Fulham defence all sorts of problems. However, they were unable to find an equaliser before half-time.
The second half started in similar fashion to the first, with Fulham looking the more dangerous side. However, the game took a dramatic turn just after the hour mark when Joao Palhinha was sent off for a second yellow card. The sending-off gave Brentford the impetus they needed and they equalised through Bryan Mbeumo shortly after.
With the game seemingly heading for a draw, Yoane Wissa popped up with a winner for the Bees two minutes into stoppage time. The goal sparked wild celebrations from the Brentford players and staff, who had fought back from a goal down and a man down to secure an impressive victory.
