Cyclones win 91-30 in Hilton Coliseum
ISU improves to 1-0 on the season
The Iowa State women's basketball team opened its season with a resounding 91-30 victory over Chicago State on Monday night at Hilton Coliseum.
The Cyclones were led by senior guard Ashley Joens, who scored a game-high 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting.
Iowa State shot 47.1% from the field and held Chicago State to just 25.0% shooting.
The Cyclones also outrebounded the Cougars 50-30 and forced 23 turnovers.
Iowa State will be back in action on Thursday night when they host Northern Iowa.
