Josh Hayes News: Back in Monday Night
Josh Hayes is an American professional road racing motorcyclist.
He is the youngest AMA Superbike Champion in history, winning the title in 2003 at the age of 21 and again in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, and 2010.
He is also the 2012 Daytona SportBike Champion among many other accomplishments throughout his racing career.
Hayes returned to MotoAmerica after a one-year hiatus for the 2023 season.
He signed with Squid Hunter Ducati to ride the Ducati Panigale V4 R and is also set to ride the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally in the King of the Baggers class.
The 2023 MotoAmerica season will be Hayes' 25th season of professional motorcycle road racing.
Hayes finished second in the MotoAmerica Superbike race at Road America on Monday night.
He was third entering the final lap but passed Cameron Petersen on the last lap to finish second, 3.5 seconds behind race winner Danilo Petrucci.
It was Hayes' first podium finish of the 2023 season.
Hayes is now third in the MotoAmerica Superbike standings, 20 points behind Petrucci.
The next round of the MotoAmerica season is at The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, Washington, on May 26-28.
