Kyle Filipowski Returns
After missing the first half of Duke's season with a leg injury, Kyle Filipowski is set to make his debut Tuesday night against Florida State. The 6-foot-11 center is a key piece to Duke's puzzle, and his return will be a major boost to the Blue Devils.
Filipowski was a five-star recruit and the ACC Preseason Player of the Year. He is a skilled scorer and rebounder, and he is expected to have a major impact on Duke's offense and defense.
With Filipowski in the lineup, Duke will have a much more balanced attack. He will give the Blue Devils another scoring option, and he will help take some of the pressure off of Paolo Banchero.
Filipowski's return is also a big boost to Duke's defense. He is a good shot-blocker, and he will help protect the rim. He will also make it more difficult for opponents to score in the paint.
Duke is currently 7-2 on the season, and they are ranked No. 9 in the AP Poll. With Filipowski in the lineup, the Blue Devils will be a legitimate contender for the NCAA Championship.
