Lady Griz run away with 20-point victory over Montana Western

The Montana Lady Griz basketball team defeated the Montana Western Bulldogs 82-62 on Tuesday night in Missoula. The win improves Montana's record to 2-0 on the season, while Montana Western falls to 0-2.

Montana was led by senior guard Sophia Stiles, who scored 22 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Junior forward Abby Anderson added 18 points and 6 rebounds, and junior guard Gabi Harrington chipped in 14 points.

Montana Western was led by senior guard Tavia Rooney, who scored 17 points. Junior forward Kenzie De Boer added 12 points, and junior guard Annabelle McDowell chipped in 11 points.

The Lady Griz shot 47.4% from the field, while Montana Western shot 35.1%. Montana also outrebounded Montana Western 42-28.

The Lady Griz will be back in action on Friday night when they host the Montana State Bobcats in the Brawl of the Wild. Montana Western will be back in action on Saturday night when they host the Rocky Mountain College Battlin' Bears.
