NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Davidson County Election Commission confirms a fatal shooting at a polling place in Nashville. Police say the shooting happened around 1 p.m. Tuesday at the polling location at the Kirkpatrick Elementary School in the 2200 block of Antioch Pike.
Police say the victim is an election official. The victim has only been identified as a man in his 60s.
Officials say the suspect fled the scene in a white sedan. No arrests have been made.
The Election Commission says the polling location is closed and voters are being directed to a different location.
