Nets’ Noah Clowney Downgraded To Out
Brooklyn Nets center Noah Clowney has been downgraded to out for Tuesday night’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers due to a non-COVID illness, the team announced.
Clowney, who is averaging 11.2 points and 8.5 rebounds per game this season, has missed the last two games with the same illness. The Nets are 0-2 in those games without him.
The Nets will also be without Kyrie Irving (calf) and Kevin Durant (knee) on Tuesday night. Irving has missed the last three games with a calf injury, while Durant has been out since January 8 with a knee injury.
With Clowney, Irving, and Durant all out, the Nets will be relying heavily on James Harden and Joe Harris to carry the offensive load. Harden is averaging 25.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 11.0 assists per game this season, while Harris is averaging 14.6 points per game.
The Nets are currently 29-17 this season and are in second place in the Eastern Conference. They will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak on Tuesday night against the 76ers.
