November 1: Ballot return tally updates

A total of 10,448,274 ballots had been returned as of 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, according to the California Secretary of State's office.

This represents approximately 47.7% of the 21,902,553 registered voters in California.

Of the ballots returned, 6,808,605 were cast by mail-in voters and 3,639,669 were cast at in-person polling places.

The deadline to register to vote in the November 8, 2022, general election is October 24, 2022.

Voters can register to vote online, by mail, or in person at their county elections office.
