Packers Coach Matt LaFleur: 'Disappointing' to Lose 'Big Game' vs. Lions

Green Bay's playoff hopes took a hit after Sunday's loss to Detroit.

The Green Bay Packers lost their second straight game on Sunday, falling to the Detroit Lions 20-16 at Lambeau Field. The defeat dropped the Packers to 4-8 on the season and eliminated them from playoff contention.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur was disappointed with his team's performance, particularly in the second half.

"It was a disappointing loss," LaFleur said. "We didn't play well enough in the second half. We didn't make enough plays. We didn't get enough stops. And we didn't take care of the ball."

The Packers led 10-6 at halftime, but the Lions scored 14 unanswered points in the third quarter to take control of the game.

The Packers had a chance to tie the game late in the fourth quarter, but Aaron Rodgers threw an interception in the end zone with just over two minutes remaining.

"It's a big game," LaFleur said. "It's a game that we needed to win. And we didn't get it done."

The Packers will now turn their attention to next week's game against the Chicago Bears. The Bears are also 4-8 on the season, so the game will be crucial for both teams.

"We've got to learn from this," LaFleur said. "We've got to get better. And we've got to find a way to win next week."
