Persepolis determined to beat Al Gharafa: Garrido
Tehran - Persepolis coach Gabriel Calderon said his team are determined to beat Al Gharafa to reach the quarter-finals of the 2020 AFC Champions League.
The Iranian side will face Al Gharafa in their final Group C match at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in Doha on Monday.
Both teams have already qualified for the next round, but Persepolis must avoid defeat to secure top spot in the group.
Persepolis have won two of their three matches so far, while Al Gharafa have won one and drawn two.
Calderon is confident his team can get the result they need to finish first in the group.
"We know that Al Gharafa is a good team, but we are also a good team," he said.
"We are determined to win the game and finish top of the group."
Persepolis captain Jalal Hosseini echoed his coach's sentiments.
"We want to win the group and we know that we have to beat Al Gharafa to do that," he said.
"We are ready for the challenge and we are confident that we can get the result we need."
