Poll Workers Across Western Mass. Say They're Ready for Voters Tuesday
Voters Ready for Polls
Western Massachusetts poll workers are reporting that they are ready for voters on Tuesday, November 8th. After months of preparation, the workers have been trained and are prepared to help voters cast their ballots. In Worcester, the city's election commission has been working to ensure that the city's 214,000 registered voters are able to vote. The commission has recruited and trained over 1,000 poll workers and has set up 72 polling locations throughout the city. In Springfield, the city's election commission has been working to ensure that the city's 125,000 registered voters are able to vote. The commission has recruited and trained over 800 poll workers and has set up 50 polling locations throughout the city.
Early Voting
In-person early voting
In-person early voting is available in Massachusetts from October 24th to November 4th. Voters can cast their ballots at their local early voting location during the following hours:
- Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Mail-in voting
Mail-in voting is also available in Massachusetts. Voters can request a mail-in ballot from their local election office. The deadline to request a mail-in ballot is October 28th. Mail-in ballots must be postmarked by November 8th and received by November 12th.
