What happened?

RCMP in Cole Harbour, N.S., are investigating the "sudden deaths" of two people.

Police were called to a residence on Caldwell Road at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and found two deceased people inside.

The victims have been identified as a 62-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman. Their names have not been released.

What are the next steps?

The RCMP said the deaths are being treated as suspicious.

The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service is assisting with the investigation.

The RCMP said there is no threat to the public.
