Reagan Wilson Shows Newfound Confidence in Cyclones Exhibition Match

Cyclones Host Preseason Match Against Minnesota Whitecaps

The Iowa State women's basketball team hosted the Minnesota Whitecaps in an exhibition match on Sunday afternoon at Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones won the game 84-56, but more importantly, they showed a lot of promise for the upcoming season.

One of the most impressive players for the Cyclones was sophomore guard Reagan Wilson. Wilson scored a team-high 19 points and dished out five assists. She also played solid defense, recording three steals.

Wilson's Confidence Shines Through

Wilson looked much more confident and assertive than she did last season. She was more willing to take shots and create plays for herself and her teammates. Her improved confidence was evident in her shooting, as she hit 6-of-12 from the field and 3-of-6 from three-point range.

Wilson's teammates were also impressed with her performance. Senior forward Ashley Joens said, "Reagan played great today. She was hitting shots, making plays, and playing really good defense. I'm excited to see how she plays this season."

Cyclones Look Strong in Exhibition Win

In addition to Wilson's performance, the Cyclones also got strong performances from Joens (17 points, 10 rebounds) and junior guard Emily Ryan (15 points). The Cyclones shot 48.4% from the field and 38.5% from three-point range. Overall, the Cyclones looked like a well-oiled machine on both ends of the court.

There's always room for improvement, but the Cyclones showed a lot of promise in their exhibition win over the Minnesota Whitecaps. If Wilson can continue to play with the confidence she showed on Sunday, she could be a breakout player for the Cyclones this season.
