Human remains found in rural Manitoba identified as four-year-old boy

The RCMP Major Crime Services unit continues to investigate the suspicious death of a child whose remains were located in the Rural Municipality of St. Clements on November 2, 2022.

The investigation has determined that the child was a four-year-old boy named Ethan Fontaine. An autopsy has been completed, and the cause of death has been determined to be a homicide.

The RCMP are asking for the public's help in identifying the person or persons responsible for Ethan's death. They are asking anyone with information about Ethan or his death to contact the RCMP Major Crime Services unit at 204-983-8269.
