Lafayette to Host Leopards on Nov. 10
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Lehigh women's basketball team will open its 2024-25 season on Thursday, Nov. 10 when it hosts Lafayette at Stabler Arena. The game is set to tip off at 7 p.m.
The Mountain Hawks are coming off a 2023-24 season in which they finished 18-12 overall and 12-6 in Patriot League play. Lehigh advanced to the Patriot League Tournament semifinals, where it fell to eventual champion Bucknell.
Lafayette finished 10-20 overall and 6-12 in the Patriot League last season. The Leopards return their top two scorers from a year ago in junior guard Makayla Andrews and sophomore forward Sarah Agnello.
The Mountain Hawks and Leopards have met 59 times previously, with Lehigh holding a 36-23 advantage in the series. The two teams split their two meetings last season, with each team winning on its home court.
Lehigh will be looking to start the 2024-25 season strong as it looks to make a run at the Patriot League Championship. The Mountain Hawks return four starters from last year's team, including All-Patriot League First Team selection Frannie Hottinger.
Lafayette will be looking to improve on last year's record and make a run at a Patriot League Tournament berth. The Leopards have a young team with a lot of potential, and they will be looking to make a statement in the 2024-25 season.
