NASHVILLE – A new street sign bearing the name “Taylor Swift Way” is now up on Music Row, and in a few weeks, it will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. The proceeds from the auction will benefit the Nashville Symphony.

The street sign was unveiled Monday morning at a ceremony attended by Swift herself, Mayor John Cooper, and other city officials.

Swift said she was “ honored ” to have a street named after her in her hometown.

“This is a really special day for me,” she said. “I’ve always loved Nashville, and I’m so grateful for the support that I've received from this city over the years.”

Cooper said the street sign is a fitting tribute to Swift’s contributions to Nashville and the music industry.

“Taylor Swift is one of the most successful and beloved entertainers in the world because she has remained true to herself,” he said. “Nashville is a city that has always embraced individuality and creativity, and they have named appropriate street after one of its most famous native daughters.”

The auction for the street sign will be held on Sept. 15 at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Bidding will start at $10,000.

The Nashville Symphony is a non-profit organization that provides musical programming for the Nashville community. The orchestra performs a variety of concerts throughout the year, including classical, pop, and rock.

Swift has been a supporter of the Nashville Symphony for many years. She has performed with the orchestra on several occasions, and she has also donated money to the organization.

The auction of the “Taylor Swift Way” street sign is a unique opportunity to own a piece of Nashville history and to support a worthy cause.
