Trail Blazers Win by 18 Points, Pelicans Go Cold in 4th Quarter

The Pelicans went cold in the 4th quarter, only scoring 15 points in the final period. Portland took advantage of New Orleans' struggles, outscoring them by 15 points in the 4th quarter. The loss drops the Pelicans to 2-2 on the season while Portland improves to 3-1.

The Pelicans were led by Brandon Ingram's 23 points, while CJ McCollum led the Trail Blazers with 28 points. The Pelicans also got double-digit scoring from Zion Williamson (19 points), Josh Hart (14 points), and Jonas Valanciunas (12 points). But it was not enough as Portland's balanced scoring attack helped secure victory.

The Trail Blazers were led by CJ McCollum's 28 points, while Damian Lillard added 20 points, and Norman Powell chipped in 19 points off the bench. Jusuf Nurkic also had a strong game for Portland, finishing with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

The Pelicans will look to bounce back from this loss when they host the Golden State Warriors on Friday.
