Vitaly Janelt drills Brentford in front of Fulham
Brentford 3-0 Fulham: Vitaly Janelt scores twice as Bees boost survival hopes
Vitaly Janelt scored twice as Brentford boosted their hopes of Premier League survival with a 3-0 win over local rivals Fulham on Saturday.
The German midfielder opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a fine finish from the edge of the area, and he added a second just after the hour mark with a header from close range.
Yoane Wissa sealed the victory with a third goal in the 84th minute, as Brentford moved up to 13th place in the table, six points clear of the relegation zone.
Fulham's winless run extends to five matches
The defeat means that Fulham's winless run now extends to five matches, and they remain in 19th place, six points from safety.
The Cottagers have now lost their last three matches in the Premier League, and they have not won away from home since November.
Manager Marco Silva will be concerned about his team's form, and he will need to find a way to turn things around quickly if they are to avoid relegation.
