ISU head coach Matt Campbell met with the media on Monday to preview the upcoming football season. Here are some of the highlights from his press conference:- On quarterback Hunter Dekkers:

"Hunter is a guy that we're really excited about. He's got a lot of talent, he's got a lot of upside. We're just going to continue to work with him and develop him."
"We've got a lot of depth at running back. We've got Breece Hall, Jirehl Brock, Kendre Miller, and Cartevious Norton. All those guys can play. We're going to need all those guys to contribute this year."
"We've got a lot of talented wide receivers. We've got Xavier Hutchinson, Charlie Kolar, Tarique Milton, and Jaylin Noel. Those guys are all capable of making big plays."
"We've got a lot of experience on the offensive line. We've got four starters returning. We're going to need those guys to lead the way for us."
"We've got a lot of depth on the defensive line. We've got Will McDonald, Eyioma Uwazurike, Isaiah Huval, and J.D. Dellinger. Those guys are all capable of making plays."
"We've got a lot of experience at linebacker. We've got Mike Rose, Jake Hummel, and Gerry Bohanon. Those guys are all capable of making plays."
"We've got a lot of talent in the secondary. We've got Anthony Johnson, Tashawn Manning, and Xavier Filsaime. Those guys are all capable of making plays."
"We've got a lot of experience on special teams. We've got Will McManus, Connor Assalley, and Anthony DaSilva. Those guys are all capable of making plays."
Campbell also discussed the team's goals for the season.

Campbell said that he believes that the team has the talent and the experience to achieve these goals.
"We've got a lot of talent on this team," Campbell said. "We've got a lot of experience on this team. We've got a lot of leadership on this team. I believe that we can achieve our goals."
The Cyclones will open the season on September 4th against the Northern Illinois Huskies.
