Wilson Discusses 'Crazy Ending' In Win Vs. Bees
Brentford's dramatic late win over Brentford was labelled as a "crazy" ending by goalscorer Callum Wilson.
The Bees took a shock lead midway through the second half when Yoane Wissa bundled home from close range, but the Cherries hit back with two goals in the final 10 minutes to secure all three points.
Substitute Jaidon Anthony equalised with a fine solo effort before Wilson headed home the winner in the dying seconds to spark wild celebrations at the Vitality Stadium.
"It was a crazy ending," said Wilson after the game. "We showed great character to come from behind and get the win."
The win was Brentford's first in the Premier League since August and lifted them up to 10th in the table.
"It's a massive three points for us," added Wilson. "We've been working hard all week and it's great to get the reward."
Brentford boss Thomas Frank was also delighted with the win.
"It was a great performance," said Frank. "We showed a lot of character and determination to come back from behind and win the game."
"I'm very proud of the players. They showed great spirit and belief."
