Winter Weather Advisory For Edmonton
Saskatchewan and Alberta Under Winter Weather Advisory
Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a winter weather advisory for Edmonton, Alberta, and surrounding areas.
The advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. MST today until 11 a.m. MST tomorrow. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 centimetres are expected. Reduced visibility in blowing snow is also possible.
Environment and Climate Change Canada advises motorists to adjust their driving habits to the winter conditions. Reduce speed, increase following distance, and be prepared for slippery roads.
The City of Edmonton is reminding residents to clear snow and ice from sidewalks and driveways promptly. Residents are also reminded to check on elderly or vulnerable neighbours to ensure they are safe and have access to food and water.
