The Iowa State Cyclones men's basketball team defeated the Chicago State Cougars men's basketball team 77-54 on Monday night at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Iowa State led by 17 points at halftime
The Cyclones were led by Gabe Kalscheur, who scored 18 points. Jaren Holmes added 14 points, while Aljaz Kunc had 12 points and Caleb Grill had 11 points.
The Cougars were led by Jahsean Corbett, who scored 16 points. Brandon Betson added 12 points, while Bryce Anderson had 10 points.
The Cyclones shot 44.4% from the field, including 36.4% from three-point range. The Cougars shot 36.4% from the field, including 28.6% from three-point range.
The Cyclones outrebounded the Cougars 40-28.

The Cyclones will host the SEMO Redhawks on Friday, Nov. 11 at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa.
The Redhawks are 1-1 on the season after defeating the Central Michigan Chippewas 75-67 on Monday night.
