Noah Clowney News: Slides to Bench Wednesday

Carolina Panthers defensive end Noah Clowney is expected to be inactive for Wednesday's game against the New Orleans Saints.

Clowney, who has been dealing with a knee injury, was listed as questionable on the team's injury report. He did not participate in practice on Monday or Tuesday.

This will be the second straight game that Clowney has missed. He also sat out the Panthers' Week 15 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

In Clowney's absence, Marquis Haynes and Efe Obada are expected to start at defensive end for the Panthers.

The Panthers are 5-10 this season and are in last place in the NFC South. The Saints are 7-8 and are in second place in the NFC South.

The game will be played at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.
