Nov. 5 General Election: The Gorge turnout still behind 2020 numbers as of Oct. 31
Gorge voters have until Nov. 8 to return their ballots
Ballots for the Nov. 5 General Election were mailed to registered voters in Washington state in mid-October.
As of Oct. 31, voter turnout in the Columbia River Gorge was behind the 2020 presidential election turnout, according to data from the Washington Secretary of State’s Office.
In Skamania County, 37.8% of registered voters had returned their ballots, compared to 44.1% at the same time in 2020.
In Klickitat County, 36.8% of registered voters had returned their ballots, compared to 42.5% at the same time in 2020.
In Hood River County, Oregon, 46.3% of registered voters had returned their ballots as of Oct. 31, compared to 50.8% at the same time in 2020.
Voters in all three counties have until 8 p.m. on Nov. 8 to return their ballots.
Ballots can be returned by mail, at designated drop boxes, or at county elections offices.
