Officials to demonstrate the accuracy of new voting machines at the Missoula Fairgrounds
Missoula County will publicly test and demonstrate its new voting equipment Tuesday at the Missoula County Fairgrounds.
Montana is one of the first states in the nation to use this new equipment that includes enhanced security features to increase voter confidence.
The new voting machines will be used in the upcoming November election. The public is encouraged to attend the test and demonstration to learn more about the new equipment and how it works. The new voting machines are designed to be more user-friendly and accessible for voters with disabilities.
The machines will also include a number of security features to prevent fraud and ensure the accuracy of the election results. The new voting machines will be used in all 25 Montana counties for the November election.
Missoula County Elections Administrator Bradley Seaman said the new machines are a significant upgrade from the previous ones. “These new machines are more secure, more accessible, and easier to use,” Seaman said. “We’re excited to get them into the hands of voters and show them how they work.”
The public test and demonstration will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Missoula County Fairgrounds. The event will include a demonstration of the new voting machines, as well as information on how to register to vote and cast a ballot in the upcoming election.
