Kelce's Touchdowns Lead Chiefs to Victory
The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 in the AFC Championship Game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, January 29th.
Travis Kelce scored both of the Chiefs' touchdowns, including a 22-yard reception from Patrick Mahomes late in the fourth quarter that gave Kansas City the lead.
The Chiefs' defense deserves just as much credit as Kelce for the win. They limited the Bengals to just 20 points and forced three turnovers, including two interceptions of Joe Burrow.
The Chiefs will now face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Super Bowl on February 12th. It will be a rematch of the Super Bowl LV, where the Buccaneers defeated the Chiefs 31-9.
Buccaneers Defense Dominates Cowboys
Also on Sunday, the Buccaneers defense dominated the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Championship Game, holding them to just 14 points in a 31-14 victory.
The Bucs' defense forced four turnovers, including three interceptions of Dak Prescott. Vita Vea and Shaq Barrett each had two sacks for the Bucs.
The Buccaneers will now return to the Super Bowl for the second time in three years. They will be looking to win their second Super Bowl in that span.
Vice President Harris Attends AFC Championship Game
Vice President Kamala Harris attended the AFC Championship Game in Kansas City. She was joined by her husband, Doug Emhoff.
The vice president was greeted with cheers from the crowd when she entered the stadium. She also met with Chiefs players and coaches before the game.
Harris is a big Chiefs fan. She grew up in the Bay Area, but her father is from Kansas City.
