Veteran presence, highly-touted recruits highlight the Bruins’ roster
UCLA men’s basketball is set to begin the 2024-2025 season with a talented roster featuring a mix of experienced veterans and highly-touted recruits.
The Bruins are coming off a successful 2023-2024 season in which they finished 25-8 overall and reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
Junior guard Tyger Campbell returns to lead the Bruins. He is one of the most experienced players in the Pac-12 and averaged 12.9 points and 5.4 assists per game last season.
Sophomore forward Adem Bona is another key piece of UCLA’s frontcourt. He averaged 7.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game as a freshman and is expected to take on a larger role this season.
The Bruins also welcome a talented group of recruits, including five-star forward Isaiah Collier and four-star guard Sean Rhyan. Collier is considered one of the best recruits in the country and is expected to make an immediate impact in Westwood.
UCLA’s schedule features several key matchups
The Bruins’ non-conference schedule includes several key matchups, including a home game against Kentucky in the CBS Sports Classic on December 17th.
UCLA will also play games against Gonzaga, Michigan, and North Carolina during the non-conference portion of its schedule.
The Bruins’ Pac-12 schedule is also challenging, with games against Arizona, Stanford, and USC all on the docket.
