Man Arrested for Alleged OWI Homicide After I-90/94 Construction Zone Crash Kills Worker
Suspect Identified, Faces Multiple Charges
A man has been arrested and charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle after a fatal crash in a construction zone on I-90/94. The crash occurred on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at approximately 10:30 pm. According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, a 35-year-old man driving a pickup truck struck a construction worker who was working in the construction zone. The worker, a 42-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fatal Construction Zone Crash
The suspect, identified as 35-year-old John Doe, was arrested at the scene. He has been charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, hit-and-run resulting in death, and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (OWI). Doe is currently being held in the Dane County Jail on a $1 million cash bond.
